London restaurant reviews are scored out of a quiet eating 10/10.  Click on the name of the restaurant to view the full review.

Scoring key

10 – sell your children to go here.

9 – worth a trip, even if difficult/annoying/painful.

8 – something special, becoming a favourite.

7 – a good meal, although probably not worth a repeat soon.

6 – decent.

5 – average, think generic fried chicken.

4 – bearable (just).

3 – only go if you are feeling particularly masochistic.

2 – best avoided.

1 – avoid like the plague, you might catch something there (like some malady or even worse a reputation for lacking any discernment of food).

Scoring calculus

Restaurant reviews scores are comprised of 70% food, 10% ambience, 10% value and 10% presentation.  Although, I do make exceptions on occasions when restaurants see fit to abuse their patrons.

Scoring table

After much nagging, I have included potentially irrelevant information such as location, cost and type of cuisine.  The more important thing is of course to see my unsolicited comments by clicking the name of the restaurant.
