O’ver
Recently seems like I’m getting alot of pizza. I don’t say this like it’s a bad thing but more because it is a statement of fact. It has the advantage of making comparisons easier to make.
Grouping things together makes it easier to determine the good from the bad, the mediocre from the great, the delightful from the car crash.
So this is how I was lured in. I had heard of O’ver from a friend of a friend who was a self confessed Italian pizza fanatic. Gullible person that I am, I believed them. Or perhaps I am just being a bit too tired to question everything now a days.
This is salt water pizza. Fairly fluffy and bouncy so can’t fault the base as it was delightfully chewy. However, as this pizza was hovering around the top end of pricing I would have expected more about the toppings. I mean that literally, as these were rather sparse. I felt that I had to resort to something I had to do in the leaner years before I made my own money (I’m still rather tight), ration the meat to ensure I didn’t rub out. Others would call my cheap. Brushing aside such offending remarks, I would retort that as long as the food was worth it, I am willing to pay.
While what I did taste was decent although maybe you could say that it was a bit over hyped. Not somewhere worth a repeat visit. So although I should thank the kind people of O’ver for giving me such an easy way in to say something I’m be aching to say. So when people ask me if I should go here, I can respond that it is O’ver, over rated.
A quiet eating 7/10.
Pizza was about GBP 18 excluding drinks and service.
