Botswana safari part 2

While on safari in Botswana, I was amazed not only at the big animals I had expected to see but also the small ones.  The Chobe national park is home to many interesting animals and some of the smaller birds (fist sized) were the most pretty.

We also caught some tender moments on camera.  Here is some of what we saw.

When the water is too deep for an elephant to walk on, its useful to have a trunk.

Before I came to Botswana, I never thought they had colourful birds. This lilac breasted roller provided otherwise.
