After gorging ourselves on more interesting food, we were off for more cultural immersion at Sintra.

Time Out Market – Monte Mar. Following my tour around Lisbon on Tram 28, we got off to visit the Timeout market. This is garlic shrimp, which was excellent.

Time Out Market – Sea me. Octopus hotdog. A very interesting flavour combination with meaty octopus, clean tasting bun and tasteful home made crisps.

Time Out Market – Marlene Vieira. 64 degrees slow cooked egg with truffle potato puree. The truffle was delicious and added in a way not to overpower the other elements of the dish.

Painted in bold primary colours, I guess that the colours were meant to strike fear into their enemies as this was originally a castle. I’m not sure if the colours were to say to the invader that they had not fear of standing out so you are warned if you try to invade.
