Sweden – the ground and the ship
An interesting sight we saw was a public art exhibition. This, is the Stockholm metro.
This is the cave theme
And the platform
With brightly designed signs if you get lost.
These are cave drawings telling part of the story of how this place was made.
A major interchange, the thought was that this theme would help to calm down frantic city dwellers.
From the gaily painted walls, I bet you can’t guess what this station is
This is hell. Really.
And this is the gateway to hell.
My wife in hell
An area under construction.
This is the Vasa. A great ship.
Long ago, this was built as the flag ship of the Swedish fleet. It was stupendous.
Looks how many canons there were
Yet, it is the museum as on its maiden voyage, it travelled just over 1km before the winds blue. And it sank
Kind of a design flaw but I shouldn’t complain too loud as it is now a great tourist exhibition. Preserved excellently at the bottom of the Stockholm harbour, it is now lovingly displayed in its own museum.
